NELSON has done it again. My wife and my daughter have bought a bike from him, and now my self and my son returned to contra costa Powersports to get our bikes. He makes buying a bike and making it a enjoying experience for the entire family. He goes out of his way to make sure we had some coffee (very nice Starbucks gift card) we went and grabbed some coffee we were ready for the day and sat down and bought two more bikes . He truly is a OUTSTANDING person.

I had a very pleasant experience with Nelson at Contra Costa Power Sports. My wife and I live in Rancho Cordova and we had been searching for a 2003-2006 R6 with low miles. I was searching on CycleTrader.com when I found almost exactly what we were looking for. A beautiful black (we wanted blue) 2005 R6 with 3,000 miles for $5,400. It looked great. It was a Saturday night about midnight when I found the bike. I immediately sent an email to the shop letting them know it was mine. I knew they wouldn't get the email until Tuesday morning because all bike shops are closed on Sundays/Mondays. I felt good about it. Even though the shop was 2 hours away, I knew this was going to be the bike. On Tuesday morning, I called CCPS right at 9:00am. I had the pleasure of speaking with Nelson who confirmed that he got my email and was happy to hear from me. Nelson and I had a brief conversation about price negotiations and financing options. He was very professional and treated me like a family member. Nelson and I shared several phone calls that day while I tried to figure out how to get there and/or get him a down payment. Unfortunately, there were several other interested parties who wanted to slide in and buy the bike out from under me. Nelson worked his hardest to keep the bike on the floor for me and no one else. He even battled for me with his Sale Manager, Lance, who kept pushing me to do an online credit application. Personally, I didn't appreciate being pushed to do that but I understand why they wanted me to do it. I mean, if you've got 2-3 other people in the shop ready to buy the bike and you're waiting on some guy from out of town to make a decision....I'd go with the fast money. But NELSON, Nelson battled for me and kept the bike on the floor while the credit app was being reviewed. I managed to get off work a little early, picked up my wife and sped down to Concord to see the bike. We made it there at 5:30pm (shop closes at 6). Nelson was with a customer but immediately greeted me and made me feel welcome and comfortable. After a few minutes he had the bike out in the parking lot for us and was ready to put my wife on it for a ride. We took a few minutes to give the bike a full visual inspection. We had a few concerns and raised them when it was time to review the numbers. After we came to a reasonable agreement on the pricing, it was time for my wife to take it out for a spin. We made it clear that my wife was experienced and was a motorcycle safety instructor. Nelson treated my wife with respect and dignity. He did not treat her like a new rider or a little girl. It was refreshing. He and I stayed in the parking lot and shot the breeze while my wife blasted around the block a few times. When she came back, she had a concern about shifting. She asked if I could take it out. Nelson said absolutely! He wanted to make sure that we were comfortable, safe, and happy. Lance popped in at this time and tried to pressure us out of the test ride because it was already 6:20pm. He wanted us to come back the next day after they had a chance to further inspect the bike. We weren't interested in that and Nelson quickly got us back on track. I took the bike out myself and identified the issue. Thankfully, it was a non-issue but I'm glad my wife brought it to my attention. The bike was actually operating as designed but she wasn't familiar with the feature. It took me a while to figure it out too. After my test ride, we sat down with Tom (I think), the finance guy. Hell of a guy. We really enjoyed signing our lives away with him. We appreciated his customer service and positive attitude. Especially since it was well past 6:30pm at this point. After a very pleasant experience with Tom, we stepped outside with Nelson to suit up and take a purchase photo. Nelson stayed with us for another 20 minutes or so and really stepped up his game. He took pictures with us, talked/joked with us, and then he took the time to get down on his knees and help me lube the chain before we rode 90 miles home. That is dedication! We made it home with no trouble and had a wonderful night. I want to formally thank everyone at Contra Costa Power Sports for their time, energy, and patience. We had an incredible experience and I highly recommend visiting this shop and especially visiting Nelson. Nelson, Lance, and Tom; Great job guys. We really appreciate you. Thank you for making the experience so comfortable. "When life throws you a curve, just lean into it!

There are plenty of places near our home ( Tracy , Ca ) we had many many options on where to go to purchase our bikes , yes BIKES . The first thing that I found super nice and inviting was the website . So I packed up the famy and took the drive up to Contra Costa Powersports and boy was It worth the drive. They made my entire family of ( 5 ) all feel welcomed from the moment we walked through the doors. We were then greeted by our Awesome, outstanding, enthusiastic, down to earth salesman NELSON PAMPHILE ( 5 stars ) My family needed up buying not 1 but 2 dirt bikes that day. There is no question in my mind where we we be getting the next 3 . Are family all loves to ride together and NELSON will be the one we go for our other bikes as well. He made the entire experience fun and smooth . When we were finished picking out our bike he kindly walked us over to parts and where we were also taken care of very well . I was so happy that not only did I just buy my first dirt bike as well as my daughter buying her first dirt bike we forgot to get the parts managers name that helped us. He was great as well if they didn't have what we wanted he was right there to pull out a catalog or pull something up on line to get it ordered. Between the two gentlemen not only myself but my entire family enjoyed our experience at contra costa Powersports ! We WILL be back & NELSON IS THE MAN ! Thank you Nelson again for making our day fabulous!

I recently stopped by CCPS to take a look at motorcycles. Im 39 years old and had never ridden a bike before, so to say I was new to this whole thing is an understatement. Well, I had the good fortune of crossing paths with Nelson just as I walked through the door. I was a little nervous, but I explained to Nelson my situation and told him that I was interested in getting my first bike. Instantly, he made me feel comfortable being there; I no longer felt out of place - in fact, I felt good and my nerves were put to ease. He started with the basics, and spoke terms I could understand, without all the jargon. And through it all, he was super energetic, fun and friendly. Never once did I feel pressured; he never tried to up sell me and put me on a bike I wasnt comfortable with. And when I asked about the soon-to-be released Honda CB300F, which would have been cheaper than the bikes I was looking at, his response was Absolutely! Lets meet again in a week or two when that bike arrives, and lets take a look at it. The bottom line is that he genuinely wanted me to be happy, to buy the bike that was right for ME. Well, in the end, I decided to go with the Honda CB500F ABS. And I couldnt be happier, not only with the bike, but with the entire experience with Nelson and the team at CCPS (including Tom in Finance; a huge hats off to him!). Im always a bit apprehensive going into a big purchase, and I just wish they could all be like this one. From the moment I walked through the door to the follow up questions I had for Nelson AFTER the purchase, I could not have been treated better.

I cannot say enough great things about my experience here. From the moment Nelson greated me as I walked through the door to our handshake a few days later as I left with keys to my new first bike, the whole process far exceeded my expectations. Nelson is truly awesome. Fun, friendly, enthusiastic...and he knows his stuff. There was never any pressure, no upselling, no bait and switch, no price haggling, none of that. Nelson listened to me, learned my situation and what I was looking for, and then laid it all out and gave me the best advice. He really took the time and went out of his way to make sure all my questions were answered, that I completely understood everything, and--most importantly--that I was happy and comfortable throughout the entire process. Nelson really is as good as it gets. On top of that, the entire team at CCPS was awesome. Tom in finance made the paperwork quick and crystal clear, and even gave some great riding tips (and a few great jokes) along the way. Lance, Brian in service, Gene in accessories...everyone I met was as cool as it gets. What a top notch team and what a truly great experience. Thanks a bunch guys. I'll be spreading the word.

I bought my first MC here at Contra Costa Powersports in June 2013. The salesperson that took care of me was Nelson. He really made me feel at ease and made sure that he fitted me in with my first Motorcycle. I purchased a 2009 650 V-Star Classic and have been very happy with the purchase. Nelson is a super friendly person who will go the extra mile for you. There is no pressure what so ever and the whole team including the sales team, parts department, and service department are all committed in ensuring that you get the best experience. I've had my windshield and front tire installed with the service department and got great results. Nelson also made sure that I got a $100.00 gift card referral for bringing him a referral. Lot's of great MC's to choose from whether you want a sports bike or a cruiser. Best of Luck with your search on getting your MC! Make your dream come true and get a great Motorcycle from Contra Costa Powersports! You'll be happy you did.

I found Contra Costa Powersports while looking at the Craigslist ads. There was a bike I had been interested in for years and they had a used one in great shape. It was the rather obscure Honda PC800. I live in Santa Rosa, but I had business in Concord that week so I stopped by. Nelson and Lance were both great to work with. I was sold on the bike right away, but I had to leave because of my schedule. My wife was with me in a separate car, so she stayed and took care of all of the paperwork. They made it easy on her and helped her find just the right helmet. The bike had some custom electrical features that were added by the previous owner. A week later I called and asked Nelson if he could but me in contact with the previous owner so I could ask questions about the custom work. Nelson cam through brilliantly. He kept me informed every few days of his progress in contacting the owner and followed up to make sure that all went smoothly. I have since had a lengthy conversation with the last owner and he even sent me some extra parts he still had. All in all, my purchase at Contra Costa Powersports has been a great experience.

I originally took my Honda Shadow in for the 8k service and while I was dealing with the service staff my wife went for a 'walk about'. After I finished with Brian in the service department (who is a great guy by the way) I found my wife talking with Nelson. They were laughing about her British accent and he was sharing his family roots/heritage. Since I was a little behind in the conversation I sat down and tried to get up to speed. Long story short, Nelson was not the typical "hungry salesman". He took genuine interest in us and that is when I saw it. The M109R Boss. It was sitting right behind him. I couldn't stop looking at it. Nelson noticed my interest and asked me what I liked about it. Nelson walked me over to the bike and talked to me about it and why I found it appealing. He never once presumed to know what I wanted or why I wanted it. I hate feeling like someone is trying to sell me. I think this is why I enjoyed my experience with Nelson so much. He answered all my questions about the bike and while I knew that he wanted to sell me the bike he never once came across as pushy, and the entire time seemed completely genuine. I told him that I wanted to go home and think about the bike but that I would reach back out to him. 3 weeks later I came back and purchased the bike. If anyone is looking for a relaxing buying experience where you don't have to deal with a phony pushy sales person I would suggest talking with Nelson. He will listen to what your needs are and help you to find an appropriate match for that desire/need. Thanks Nelson! PS- Brian in the service department is also a great guy. He took about 20 min. to walk me through the different maint. routines that would be performed on my bike and also explained why they were needed at the different times. He was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with.

I came by only to window shop to get an idea of how much more i need to save to get a bike i wanted when Nelson Pamphile started to show the wide variety of bikes , i told him i was more interested in the used section when i walked by a 2001 Kawasaki and i thought it winked at me . i backed up and gave her a second look. Great deals, Rob was patient and informative helped me with the buying process. Tom was great on financing and moved everything along smoothly. Have not tried servicing yet but do have them in mind , accessories as priced a wee bit high and need more of a selection. Could have had the parts / service people ask what I would like to add and answer questions with follow up literature. Annoyed that Management would not allow help on loading my bike because of liability. Come on everyone there is a motorcycle person that can't help load? Seems odd. Overall would give this place a gold star for selection and service. Thanks Rob and Tom.

So i was at Eats bay motorsports getting mistreated and they didnt even have the bike i wanted (2013 DRZ 400 sm). so i called on over to Contra costa and got to speak to Nelson and he says "dude i got the bike you want come on down" . as soon as i got there both nelson and jason were there to help me with all of the financials and legals. Even though they low balled my trade in (which was understandable) i had the best bike buying experience ever. They gave me the price, down payment, and monthly payment that i wanted with no problems. Over all these guys are great people and a great shop! You guys keep doing what your doing and the bikes will keep rolling off the floor! Thanks again
Brian , Livermore, CA -
Buying my first bike here was a great experience. Nelson, the salesman, never pressured me to pull the trigger and get the bike. He let me come around to it in my own time (which admittedly took too long). When I finally got the bike, Tom in the financing department worked remarkably hard to get me a good loan. All in all it was a good time, and I'd buy here again in a heartbeat.
Brian , Concord, CA -
Nelson & Lance made my trip to CCP very rewarding and satisfying. They help put together a very reasonable trade-in package and I rode away on the Honda I wanted. Many thanks!!!

Nelson aka brother mandela was extremely nice and informative. he sold me a 2013 kawasaki 636. He was one of the most friendly people I have ever met. He didnt pressure me to buy anything. we basically just had a lot of fun together. I will always be recommend anyone to go to Contra Costa Powersports. The best place to purchase a bike.

Even though I haven't purchased a motorcycle, the salespeople have always been friendly and answered any questions I had. The service people have been great, having finished an installation I had started and answering questions about the operation of some instrumentation I was having difficulty with. Overall, a very good experience with some good people.

I recommend anybody interested in a motorcycle to check out CC Powersports. Sales Associate Rob was extremely helpful! Great selection of bikes.

Entire staff was exceptional. When the Vstrom I wanted was in limited production, Brian was very helpful and patient with me to get me on a bike that fit me and my budget. He actually got to know me and my family when I brought them to the dealership. He took time to answer repeated questions. I couldn't be happier with the buying experience from start to finish. I love my new red Ninja 650. I wont go anywhere else to buy a bike!!!

This was my 1st purchase in over 20 yrs. I was a bit nervous, but very excited to get back into riding after so many years. I returned about 1/2 a dozen times to look at bikes, talk to folks, and really try to figure out if I was ready. I have to say, that Brian was VERY patient with me and talked to me each time I was in the store. He responded to many questions and never tried to push me into buying before I was ready. A great experience and i would most DEFINITELY recommend CCPS to anyone looking for a new OR pre-owned bike!
Bob , Concord, CA -
I went there to test drive two bikes. Brain was very patient with me and took the time to explain about the bikes and answered my questions promply. I purched a 2008 Z- 14 KAWASAKI CONCOURS. VERY HAPPY.

This was my first new bike. my last bike was a few years old. Buying a new buy was out of my reach, due to my credit report. i was out of work for about three years and that caused chain reaction on over due bills that went to collections. I have been on my new job for about three years now and my credit score is in mid 500's. I was turned down at other motorcycle dealers for bike loan, even after i made payments arrangements with my collectors. Thanks to Lance the sales manager, He gave me a second chance to prove to banks i am a responsible person that was unemployed and had financial hardship. Thank You Lance.. Lance did a bike search in northern California; the model and color motorcycle was very important to me. i have be dreaming for the perfect bike about for the past six months. Now i"m riding my dream bike on weekends. sincerely... Jorge

Everything was great. I love my GS500. Brian and Joe were very helpful. I knew I wanted a bike but wasn't sure which one. Brian spent a lot of time showing me different models before I decided on the GS500. Jason helped me pick out a helmet that fit. Next purchase is a new riding jacket. Thanks guys.
Victor , Concord, CA -
The service was priced right and really fast. I will bring my Yamaha back here for service again. Thanks Dave.

Saw a fantastic deal for the Ninja 500 SE 40th Anniversary via Facebook and took the hour drive from Pacifica to Concord to sign the paperwork. Ian was fast and efficient in getting me situated. He was phenomenal! Ces rocked for setting me up w/ some gear. Matt was also gracious enough to deliver my bike safe and sound. I will definitely buy from them again!
